I believe everyone deserves access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. Housing should not be a privilege available only to people with high incomes.

 

I will advocate for affordable housing by supporting policies that increase the supply of reasonably priced homes and apartments, protect renters from unfair practices, and help families facing homelessness. I will encourage investment in affordable housing programs and support partnerships between communities, nonprofits, and local governments.

 

I will also educate others about the importance of housing affordability and its connection to strong, healthy communities. By speaking up and getting involved, I can help create a community where everyone has a place to call home.

I believe public transit is fundamental to fostering equitable, sustainable, and thriving communities. Reliable buses, streetcars, and light rail give people affordable access to employment, education, healthcare, and other essential services. Strategic investment in public transportation can alleviate traffic congestion, reduce harmful emissions, and contribute to a healthier environment. Communities should prioritize transportation systems that are safe, efficient, accessible, and adequately maintained so that mobility is not determined by income or circumstance.
